According to White House leaders, President Trump will hold an official signing ceremony at a later date. This morning, the House passed the tax bill for the second time. President Donald Trump has promised a news conference, this afternoon following the final vote to approve the GOP tax cut bill. U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK): “The passage of this bill marks a defining moment in our nation’s history. It’s been 31 years since we last reformed the tax code—and this bill comes not a moment too soon. It’s time we deliver relief, tax cuts, and good jobs for hard-working Americans.”center_img Speaking before a Cabinet meeting, President Trump referred to the passage a “historic victory for the American people.” The House approved the bill on Tuesday, December 19, and then after debating much of Tuesday, the Senate voted on the tax bill well after midnight, approving the bill, 51 to 48.last_img
